ENDLESS Legend™ 2

ENDLESS Legend 2 beginner's guide

ENDLESS Legend 2 beginner's guide for a first campaign: pick Kin of Sheredyn or Aspects, learn bribe/parley/attack on the first villages, found a second city with Influence, and watch the season widget for Monsoon then Tidefall. Version 1.0 shipped 17 September 2026 on Windows, PS5, and Xbox Series. US list price was $49.99, often discounted. English has full audio; sixteen interfaces ship on Steam. The demo app 3596660 still exists on the store even though the 1.0 news posts treat the demo window as closed.

Pick Kin or Aspects unless you want a hard lesson

Kin of Sheredyn are the fortification-first United Empire descendants. Walls, adjacent-unit shields, General Shaparenko in the lore, Uwe Rach as the starting hero with capital Industry and capture points. You will survive a landbridge you did not see coming. The campaign teaches districts and seasons without also teaching a corpse economy or a Dust-only foodless growth loop.

Aspects are the coral diplomats. Polemephon pays Influence on kills and Influence per protectorate as a governor. You bribe and pacify instead of stacking wars. Steam's own pitch for cohabitation is this faction. First villages stay alive, coral spreads, and you learn the minor-faction table as a growth engine. Last Lords, Necrophage, Tahuks, and Sandshapers are all fair 1.0 sides; they each add an extra conversion engine (Dust, corpses, Oculum, Wishes) on top of the first-hour jobs.

Skip Order of Zelevas and Severed Claws until you have finished one Kin game and one Necrophage game. Rogues reuse those kits with a conquest or slaver twist. Custom creator is a sandbox, not a tutorial. The factions board is the compare tool; this guide is the 'press this first' list.

First hours: village, camp, season widget

The first village is a test. Bribe or parley if you are Aspects or if you want the perk. Attack if you are Necrophage or if the village sits on the only ridge you can district. Assimilation costs Influence, the same pool that founds a second city. Read minor factions before you click; Ametrine versus Consortium is Industry versus Dust, not two flavours of the same bonus.

Plant one extra camp toward terrain that will still matter after Tidefall. Do not spider three camps you cannot defend in Monsoon. Upgrade a district to level 2 when the 1.0 changelog bonus cares (farms next to a wood ash pit, Works next to ridges). Uwe Rach on the Kin capital is +15 Industry; leave him there until the wall is real, then take him capturing. Polemephon can stay in the field collecting Influence kills.

Watch the season widget. Clear Skies is building weather. Monsoon is when villages turn hostile and rivers drown. Tidefall is when the ocean steps back and a neighbour walks a new isthmus. Move one season early. The Tidefall page is the full season strip; internally you only need those three names on the first run.

Fights, Dust, and when to stop auto-resolving

Auto-resolve trash fights. Place units when a river, a landbridge, or a hero active is the point of the battle. Drowning an army is an achievement and a monsoon tactic. Kin adjacency shields only help if you actually stand adjacent. Details sit on the combat page; the beginner rule is 'obvious win = auto, anything wet or narrow = place'.

Dust is the commerce yield and the Last Lords growth yield. Even Kin and Aspects spend Dust. Do not starve the bank to rush a third city. Luxury boosters and strategic stockpiles are later achievements (Land of Luxuries, Stockpiler); ignore them until the second city has a district cluster. The resources page lists Dust, Food, Industry, Science, Influence, strategic, luxury, and Corpses.

Store page for the live build: ENDLESS Legend 2 on Steam. Languages, price, and the demo control live there. If you still have the 3596660 demo installed, it is not the 1.0 campaign. Platforms, pets delay, and console SKUs are on platforms. Achievements — 59 of them, including First Steps! at 25 turns — are on achievements.

Win paths and a sane first goal

Steam lists conquest, diplomacy and technology, quests and events, or empowering heroes to unveil a story. You do not need a science-victory lecture on run one. Hold two cities through one Tidefall, assimilate one village, win the fights you place, and finish a faction quest beat. That is a complete first campaign even if the achievement list still looks long.

Difficulty achievements (Grandmaster on Hero AI, Peer of the Old Ones on Endless, Mic Drop against seven Endless AIs on Huge) are not beginner content. Play on a lower AI setting, small or medium map, and learn the season widget. Multiplayer is available — Steam lists Online PvP, PlayStation lists eight players with PS Plus — but it is a different class. Learn Saiadha solo.

If the first run feels like the wrong doctrine, swap faction, do not swap every system at once. Kin into Aspects is a doctrine swap. Kin into Last Lords is an economy swap. Kin into Necrophage is a diplomacy swap. One change per campaign is how you actually learn the eight sides.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Steam demo the same as 1.0?

No. Demo app 3596660 still exists on Steam and pointed at fullgame 3407390, but Amplitude's 1.0 news treats the demo window as closed. Play the 1.0 build for Sandshapers, the two Rogue Factions, Mangrove of Harmony, and the 17 September 2026 balance. Use the demo only if you explicitly want the older slice. Console players never had that demo SKU; they start on the 1.0 PS5 or Xbox build.

Which faction is easiest for a first campaign?

Kin of Sheredyn if you want walls and a clear defensive job. Aspects if you want villages and Influence instead of a war economy. Both are explained in official store copy with concrete verbs. Last Lords, Necrophage, Tahuks, and Sandshapers each add an extra conversion engine you do not need on run one. Order of Zelevas and Severed Claws should wait until you have finished the parent major once, because they reuse those kits with a conquest or slaver twist rather than teaching the base loop.
